As I write this, the sky here is grey and cold with the promise of snow in the forecast. Hubby is at work for the evening and Christian is napping so it is the perfect time to curl up with a good book and some knitting (a cup of hot chocolate isn’t going to hurt any either). I recently started reading The Sweetness at the Bottom of the Pie after some good recommendations from some friends of mine. I am not far into it yet, but I like it so far! Flavia (the main character) is an eleven year old girl who is thrown into a mystery she is compelled to solve. I used to adore the Nancy Drew mysteries when I was younger and this book reminds me of that time.
My WIP is a shawl/scarf for my baby sister. It is called Hogwarts Express and I can’t wait to see her wear it! Hopefully I will be able to get it done before Christmas. She knows about it so it will not be a surprise, but the sooner I get it done, the sooner she will stop teasing me about working on everything but her scarf 🙂
